Lohri Invitation Message

We are, we are now!

Here is some information about one of the tables themes that will touch the topic of Migration and blogs.

A theme seeks to draw the different experiences that have a Bolivian abroad, and as many have developed websites or blogs, or simply set up connections through the network to connect to Bolivia , meet people on the different interests that each may have, from politics to entertainment, in a sense, to belong to the community in which they feel more comfortable, full of Bolivians. One person will present a very political issue (non-politicized) on how the network can offer to a foreign citizen in the capacity to express and exercise certain rights such as opinion and expression, on topics related to or Bolivia. Similarly, there will be another person to speak on the blog as a link between the reality in which one lives and the country of origin. Building community, and sometimes even companionship. The type of relationship that is created. And above all the emotional weight can sometimes have to live in another country for long periods of time, the cultural shocks (or immigrant syndrome sad), and the processes of frustration, adaptation, and others that each person spends. And how healthy it would be that there is a relatively established network, perhaps a blog or a blog portal, a virtual meeting point between the Bolivian abroad and those still in Bolivia.

I think we need to talk about these issues, because you never do. And there are so many Bolivians abroad. The second issue is regarding the potential of the network, not just blogs. Of how to develop content and generate different types of activism, or simply virtual community building among Bolivians inside and outside the country. Also, talk a little about some projects that already exist, and that one of the participants have created or know, and that any moment could explode if they had a wider participation of people. You can do things at all levels, from creating communities where young entrepreneurs to meet, to share knowledge, who knows accessing large libraries (if Bolivians in Bolivia, Bolivians will connect with students around the world could have a larger grain of knowledge).

The migration table will take place on Saturday morning.
I'm outta Santa Cruz ... and if the lock is not stopping me, I think I will be at noon in La Paz tomorrow, hugs and kisses for tod @ s: P
